On October 14, 2015 I decided to challenge myself to write one monologue every day for a year. These are the results. I can’t vouch for their quality. Some are naughty. Some are stupid. Most are characters but some aren’t. You have been warned.
Oh and I realized about 100 monologues in that there’s actually 366 days in 2016, so, yeah.
9/7/16 UPDATE: As of today I am discontinuing this project, mainly because my job and my life became incredibly busy starting in June, which significantly hampered my ability to write. I ended up writing 267 monologues, which is a lot in its own right. Would I do it again? Probably not, at least not in the same strict manner. Forcing yourself to write is good, but forcing yourself to write a specific thing every single day for a year is a bit much. However, I am happy with my results and am excited to pore through my writing to see if anything can blossom into a larger project. Thanks for reading!
